Not everyone is in the position to purchase something from their friend's small business. I wanted to create this post to show that you don't necessarily have to buy something from them to show your support!
Here are several things you can do on social media to help support your friend's business all for free!
1 - Save the post for later - This is considered the new "super-like" and helps immensely with engagement! PRO TIP: Create a folder specifically for this to keep everything in one place.
2 - Share their post on your feed or stories - This helps our business reach as many people as possible. You never know when one of your friends or family members might be looking for a photographer or a product one of your friends offers!
3 - Comment and Like - These are equally as important as saving and sharing! I love interacting with you on my posts (plus it warms my heart! lol) Commenting something as simple as an emoji is so helpful!
4 - Make a post of your own - Facebook/Instagram prioritizes posts from our friends over posts from business pages we've liked. Because of this, when you make your own post your friends are more likely to see that over a post you've shared. Weird I know, I don't get it either. (Don't forget to tag them! We absolutely love to see when people love our business!)
5 - See their posts first on your newsfeed on Facebook - This one's a bit complicated so stay with me. Like I mentioned before you'll typically see posts from business pages last, however, you can change that. When you visit their business page, click the three dots off to the right side, hit 'manage follow settings' and then change your news feed setting from default to favorites. This will prioritize the posts from businesses you want to see among posts from your friends.
